Theory overview

Standard E tuning is the most common form of guitar tuning. All the basic chords and scales structures that you will learn for the guitar correspond to this form of tuning.

Standard E tuning is the most versatile and most commonly used by guitarists. If you're just starting out this is the tuning you should use.
